Istanbul 2025 European Para Youth Games in numbers

With just over two weeks to go until the 2025 European Para Youth Games (EPYG), here are some quick facts and figures about the upcoming event in Istanbul.
2 – Venues where the competitions will take place: Cebeci Sport Complex and Enka Athletics Field.
5 – Days of competition at Istanbul 2025.
6 – Countries making their European Para Youth Games debut: Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, North Macedonia, and Ukraine.
7 – It’s the seventh time the European Para Youth Games are being held. The first edition took place in 2011 in Brno, Czechia.
9 – Sports included in the programme, a record in EPYG history. The sports on the programme are Para Archery, Para athletics, boccia, goalball, Para judo, Para swimming, Para table tennis, Para taekwondo, and wheelchair basketball.
17 - Organisations delivering Discovery Programme activities during the event. Activities include come and try sessions in sports, city activations and the delivery of expertise for athletes and coaches.
33 – Number of countries competing in Istanbul: the highest number in the event’s history.
300 – Volunteers involved in the event after more than 2,000 applications were received.
650 – Nearly 650 athletes will compete at the European Para Youth Games in Istanbul this year, also a record!
1,200 – Athletes will be joined by more than 600 coaches, team staff, officials and volunteers to bring the total number of participants to more than 1,200.
Competition at the Istanbul 2025 European Para Youth Games gets underway with Para archery on 23 July ahead of the Opening Ceremony on 24 July.
