Istanbul 2025

European Para Youth Games

The city of Istanbul, Türkiye, has been awarded the 2025 European Para Youth Games (EPYG) by the European Paralympic Committee.

 

The multisport competition is expected to break previous records for numbers of participants, sports and countries. 1,500 athletes, coaches and support staff from 35 countries are expected to gather in Istanbul between 21-28 July 2025.

 

The Türkiye National Paralympic Committee (NPC) is ready and keen to stage nine sports at the Cebeci Sport Venue in the heart of the city for a Games which will help to solidify a new era for the development and impact of Para sport across Europe.

Grow, aspire, play represents the values that the European Paralympic Committee wants to bring to life through the European Para Youth Games.

 

Members, athletes, coaches, sports and partners will all benefit from this approach which aims to reflect the needs of athletes aged 12-23 who may be taking their first steps into a career on the international stage.

As well as the sports on the programme, International Federations are invited to take part in the Discovery Programme which will offer them a platform to connect and collaborate with athletes, coaches, volunteers, National Paralympic Committees, partners and spectators.

Entries

The official invitation will be sent to European Paralympic Committee Members in December 2024. Entry fees will be 180 EUR per person.

Discovery Programme

The Discovery programme for the 2025 European Para Youth Games will go beyond education. It is a chance for athletes, coaches, Members, sports and partners to connect with, collaborate and learn about and from each other.

Topics including clean sport, classification and athlete health and wellbeing will all be offered, as well as sessions dedicated to providing support and information to Members and coaches as part of Erasmus+ projects, alongside the chance to experience different sports and discover new topics.
