European Para Championships 2023
In August 2023, athletes competing in 10 sports gathered in Rotterdam, The Netherlands for the first European Para Championships. The European Paralympic Committee was a patron of the event, supporting both the organisers and National Paralympic Committees, and will continue for the next edition in 2027.
The only pity was to miss it.
European Para Youth Games
The European Para Youth Games are a multi-sport competition for Para athletes that reflect the highest standards of athletic excellence, Paralympic values and diversity.
The goal of the Games is to give up-and-coming athletes their first taste of international competition, take part in educational activities and connect with their peers.
They are organised by the European Paralympic Committee with the aim of contributing to the growth of Para sport.
Pajulahti 2019
Finland’s midnight sun finally set onthe European Para Youth Games 2019, following three closely fought competition days across eight sports. Italy topped the medal table with 14 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze medals.
The event, hosted at the Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training center from the 25-30th June, was the fifth and largest edition of the Games to date with over 600 participants from 27 countries taking part.
Winter Para sports
The European Paralympic Committee is leading the way in developing more opportunities for winter Para sports athletes.

One sport - one Europe - one dream
In 2020 the European Paralympic Committee partnered with the Polish Paralympic Committee and Erasmus+ to pioneer the very first European multi-sport winter competition for Para athletes.
Nearly 150 athletes gathered to compete in four sports - alpine skiing, snowboard, biathlon and cross-country skiing.
Europe at the Paralympic Games
The Paralympic Movement was born in Europe. Since the 1940s when Sir Ludwig Guttmann famously began to use sports as a means of rehabilitation first in Great Britain, the region has led the way and has produced some of the best athletes.
