The EB meeting, which begins on Friday 26th June at 3pm, will make the final preparations for the GA and the EPC conference the previous day. In addition, the board will review the current situation in EPC and take stock of the work carried out during its four-year term of office.
During the past four years EPC has played an active role in European institutions in the fields of sport and civil society, in addition to gaining international recognition. The committee has also achieved one of its keys aims with the opening of the Vienna headquarters.
A representative from the European Commission’s Citizenship Unit, Mr Luigi Filippo Saia, will also attend the meeting. EPC receives funding from the Commission in the framework of its “Europe for Citizens” programme.
On Thursday June 25th, EPC President Mr Enrique Sánchez-Guijo will meet with the Director General from the Austrian Sports Ministry, Mr Erich Irschik, to discuss matters related to the HQ and to identify ways to further develop collaboration between EPC and the Austrian government. |
