Portugal to host 2009 CPISRA Boccia European Championships
The Portuguese town of Póvoa de Varzim, located north of Porto on the Green Coast, is all set to play host to the 2009 CPISRA Boccia European Championships. The event kicks off on Thursday June 25th and over one hundred players representing twenty countries will take part.
The championships are organised by PCAND, the Portuguese National Sports Association for Athletes with Cerebral Palsy, and APPC, the Portuguese Cerebral Palsy Association. Competition proper begins on Saturday June 27th with team and pair competitions, and runs through to Thursday July 2nd, when the individual knock out matches and finals are set to take place.
