EPC initiated the grant scheme with the aim of ensuring financial difficulties did not impede all EPC members wishing to exercise their right to attend, participate in and vote at the assembly from doing so.

The EPC Executive Board took the decision to set up the grant programme bearing in mind the international economic crisis than the world is currently experiencing, which may have had a negative impact on some members. The deadline to apply for support was Monday 1st June.

EPC was able to offer grants thanks to the funds it receives from the European Commission, which are aimed at building capacity in the EPC organisation and structure and ensuring the maximum possible engagement of each member in the committee’s activities.

The 8th EPC General Assembly will be held in Vienna on September 19th next. As is customary, it will be preceded by a conference on September 18th.
