13-04-2009Preview of this week’s events in Paralympic sports all over Europe
Following the Easter break, European Paralympic athletes are back in action with events scheduled in five Paralympic sports this week. Swimming, table tennis, wheelchair tennis, goalball and sailing will provide the action in five different countries.

French Sailing Week flyer 

The 2009 Irish Long Course Swimming Championships kick off this coming Thursday (April 16th) in Dublin. Competition is closed and there will be events over three days in categories ranging from S4 to S13. For more information contact education@swimireland.ie.

 

Also starting on April 16th and lasting three days are the Czech Open Table Tennis Championships. The event will be held in Ostrava and competition will be open to players in Classes 6 to 10.

 

Friday April 17th sees the start of the 2009 Martigny Indoor Wheelchair Tennis Tournament in Switzerland. The event is classified as an ITF Futures Series and will feature both singles and doubles competitions. For more information click here.

 

On Saturday 18th April the Dutch National Goalball League will be held in Utrecht, while the 2009 French Sailing Week also begins on the 18th and, as its name suggests, concludes one week later. The action in this International Sailing Federation event will take place in the waters off Hyeres and competition includes events in Paralympic classes. For more information click here.
