14-01-2008Austria leads points table after first IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup races
Austria, with 4905 points, has taken the lead in the World Cup points table after the season's first races in Abtenau. Canada is second with 3124 and Germany third with 1652. Thirteen of the eighteen countries that took part are from Europe.

The action has now moved on to the second event in this season's World Cup in Queyras, France, until January 20th. Following this, the European Cup will resume in Sollefteå, Sweden, on January 31st.
