| The European Handball Federation has developed a wheelchair version of the sport to enable people with a physical disability to play the game. Wheelchair Handball, presented as part of the federation’s “Wheels on Fire” project launched in September 2006, aims to open up the sport to athletes with disabilities by adapting handball rules. |

| The European Disability Forum (EDF), which EPC joined last year, has launched a major campaign called “1million4 disability”. The aim of the campaign is to gather the signatures of at least one million European citizens in an effort to combat and outlaw discrimination against European citizens with disabilities in all fields of life, including access to sports and sports facilities. |

The meeting also dealt with preparations for next year’s General Assembly and the selection of a new headquarters for the committee. |
