EUROPEAN PARALYMPIC
COMMITTEE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
ATHENS, 28 SEPTEMBER 2003

MOTIONS FROM THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Motion: Constitution/Tax-exempt status

Motion No: 1

Motion: As to do otherwise would result in EPC’s inability to achieve tax-exempt status and as, in any event, it is likely that IPC’s strategic review will lead to all Regions having independent status, the Executive Committee hereby recommends that EPC’s constitution should be amended to remove all specific reference to its affiliation to IPC. In other words, EPC should adopt the English version of the constitution enclosed herewith (even though the German version is the legally binding document)

Motion: Removal from EPC Membership (Moldova)

Motion No: 2

Motion: As the NPC for Moldova has not paid its membership fees for at least the last five years and as all attempts to obtain any satisfactory explanation or future commitment have failed, the Executive Committee reluctantly recommends the application of clause 9.2 of EPC’s constitution and requires that Moldova’s membership of EPC is revoked.

Motion: Removal from EPC Membership (Russia)

Motion No: 3

Motion: As the NPC for Russia has not paid its membership fees for at least the last four years and as all attempts to obtain any satisfactory explanation or future commitment have failed, the Executive Committee reluctantly recommends the application of clause 9.2 of EPC’s constitution and requires that Russia’s membership of EPC is revoked.

Motion: Appointment of Treasurer

Motion No: 4

Motion: As there was no nomination for Treasurer at the last General Assembly and as Jürg Weber was subsequently appointed as Acting Treasurer by the Executive Committee, it is hereby recommended that the General Assembly ratifies Jürg Weber’s appointment as EPC Treasurer.
